nightRide is a concept which, by taking advantage of the possibilities of digitalisation, helps provide the until now rigidly scheduled night bus with a new, customer-orientated flexibility. The system is based on autonomous travelling minibuses, which are booked via app and employed according to current demand in the city outskirts. Before every journey, the passengers determine the exact stopping points within a corridor composed of the main route and adjoining side streets. Thus the walking distance for passengers is shortened, or the journey can even take you directly to your door, while ensuring efficient service.
